Applying for Admission to IUPUI
All Applicants:
Please note the application fee is non-refundable and must be paid at the time of submitting an online application to IUPUI.
If you experience any difficulties with the online application, please select the technical support box in the application screens, and select your question from the knowledge base. If you do not see your question, select the “Email Answer” icon, and a representative will return your message within 20 minutes.
If you have already applied for undergraduate admission to IUPUI within the past 18 months, do not complete this application, instead you may update your previous application at http://www.enroll.iupui.edu/update.
If you are unsure of which student type best fits your situation, please visit http://www.iupui.edu/apply or email apply@iupui.edu.
For specific application instructions, or additional materials, please click on the appropriate student type below.
Please remember to print the counselor recommendation form and give it to your counselor to complete. Your counselor will send this form to IUPUI along with your transcript and test scores. This form can be found at http://www.enroll.iupui.edu/counselor-recommendation.shtml
It is very important to list all schools you have attended outside of high school, regardless of credits earned or time that has passed since enrolling.
If you have previously attended IUPUI, but did not finish an undergraduate degree, you do not need to complete this application. Instead, please visit our returning student web page, http://www.returnto.iupui.edu, and after reading the requirements to return to IUPUI, select the “Ready to Apply?” link.
Students who have not been enrolled in classes for less than one academic semester should consult their academic advisor to return to the university instead of completing the returning student application.
If you are looking to transfer from IUPUI from another IU campus, you do not need to complete this application. Instead, please visit our intercampus transfer student web page, http://enroll.iupui.edu/admissions/undergraduate/intercampus, and after reading the requirements to transfer to IUPUI, follow the steps detailed under the process that fits your situation.
Please be sure to submit an unofficial transcript or most recent grade report to complete your visiting or non-degree application. Visiting students currently enrolled in a degree seeking semester will only qualify to enroll for one semester, unless further extensions are granted by the admissions office. Students who already hold a bachelor’s degree, and wish to take undergraduate non-degree courses do not need permission to enroll in consecutive semesters after the initial application is approved.
Admission into graduate programs at IUPUI is decentralized, and handled by each academic department or school. Steps for applying to an IUPUI graduate program can be found at http://www.iupui.edu/~gradoff//admissions/apply.html.
If you wish to apply as a graduate non-degree student, please visit http://www.iupui.edu/~gradoff//gnd/.
