  1. Talk to your academic advisor at your home campus to identify courses you need.
You'll also want to be sure how a course taken at another campus, such as IUPUI, will meet the degree requirements at your home campus.
  2. Review course availability.
    http://www.registrar.iupui.edu/schedule.html
  3. Apply.
Complete the online intercampus transfer application. This information will be routed to the school in which you wish to enroll as well as to the Office of the Registrar. The Office of the Registrar will establish your eligibility to enroll at IUPUI. You will be able to register once you have been activated by the Registrar, and priority registration has ended.
  4. Obtain Any Necessary Course Authorizations
Certain courses, such as those marked "AUTH" must be approved by the department or school offering the course before you register. Visit authorizations for more information on this and other enrollment restrictions.
  5. Register.
    Follow procedures at http://www.registrar.iupui.edu
    • You may purchase a parking permit online by visiting Parking Services. There is no grace period.
    • For more information on the registration process, including the waitlist system, visit http://www.registrar.iupui.edu/.
    • Students are allowed to enroll for no more than 18 credits in the Fall or Spring and no more than 7 credits in a single summer session (14 if enrolled for the maximum in both summer sessions). In some cases individual students may be restricted to a lower number of credits. Students who wish to enroll in a higher number of credits need to obtain written permission from their school which specifies the adjusted maximum. It is the student's responsibility to provide this written permission to the Office of the Registrar.
  6. Pay for your classes.
IUPUI no longer mails out paper copies of your bill. Instead, you can access the information by reviewing OneStart. You can pay this bill through the web or in person at Cavanaugh Hall.
  7. Purchase textbooks.
Find the textbooks you need by visiting the bookstore http://www.bookstore.iupui.edu. Be sure to have your list of courses and class numbers at-hand http://registrar.iupui.edu/lost.htm.
  8. Attend classes.
You can check your grades at the end of the term through OneStart. There is no charge for this service.

Once you arrive at IUPUI, be sure to update your campus address to a local address through OneStart as needed so that our faculty have the correct address and phone number should they need to contact you.

Your grades will be added automatically to your unified IU transcript. You do not need to request that they be sent to your home campus.
