Welcome to IUPUI! I’m glad that you have taken the time to visit our website and learn about all the great opportunities we have to offer our students. Whether you’re currently a student at IUPUI or haven’t heard about us before, I hope you’ll find the information here very helpful, and if you’re a student looking to apply to universities this year, I hope to see your application.
IUPUI is Indiana's urban public university with top-level undergraduate and degree programs. As IUPUI is a joint campus of both Indiana University and Purdue University, our students receive degrees from these national institutions while studying in the heart of Indianapolis. On the professional level, Indianapolis is the economic center of Indiana, and through strategic partnerships and alliances, IUPUI students have several resources right at our doorstep to take their education out of the classroom and into the real world.
Our campus sits on the banks of the great canal walk and is a 10 minute walk from fantastic places like the NCAA Hall of Champions, the Indianapolis Zoo, the White River Botanical Gardens, the Eiteljorg Museum, and the IMAX Theatre. Or if you’re into sporting events, Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the World Champion Indianapolis Colts), Victory Field (home of the Indianapolis Indians), and Conseco Fieldhouse (home of the Indiana Pacers) are all within a short walk or even shorter bus ride. If you like a metropolitan atmosphere, you can be in downtown Indy in less time to go to fabulous restaurants, shopping, theatres, coffee houses, and much more!
Finally, if you are a prospective student, I understand that you have a world of options when looking at colleges and universities, but I think you’ll find that IUPUI offers our students a wealth of opportunity and excitement.
